The men behind the movement.

The Friendship 9 made a bold statement in 1961, but their efforts didn’t end after their historic 30 days in jail.

Today they tell their story to audiences, hoping that their actions as teens inspire young people to have that same audacity. If you don’t know the events of that 1961 February, take a look at “Our Story” and encounter not only the story of The Friendship 9, but how what they did impacted others around them.

If you would like to attend or book The Friendship 9 for a speaking event, visit the Events page; visit the Resources page to buy their new book or view their documentary. The Friendship 9 are also starting a scholarship program for college students. If you would like to apply, donate, or just find out more about it, jump on over to the Scholarship page.
